The Nasboy

Out of the blue, 85 year old May Coleman received a visit from a Nasboy. His purpose? To take her money or possessions or even her elderly dog if he was so inclined, in payment for a small parking fine and substantial erroneous charges, incurred by May's granddaughter. Under the Government's 'name and shame' laws, Mr Ben Brown, a registered Nas Officer, was entitled to force entry into May's tiny, isolated cottage and take what he wanted if she didn't have the cash. It was legal and it was his job.

There was a time when he had been very good at his job; Ben Brown, number 97 in the Nas Charts and a top contributor to Nasbay. But all that was in the past and before he slid down the ladder. Now he was reduced to jobs like this one, collecting minimal sums from old ladies like May.
But, as it turned out, May Coleman also had a purpose. Although on the day of Ben's visit, she didn't know it. And neither did he.
